Our Fire Prevention Division represents the gate-way into our Department. As an organized Fire Department, prevention is our first priority. Our Fire Department is committed to addressing our code enforcement responsibilities proactively and comprehensively utilizing engineering, enforcement and education as our mechanisms of public engagement.
Some of the responsibilities of the Fire Prevention Division include life safety inspections for all occupancies, residential and commercial building and home fire inspections, permit certifications and building plans reviews. The Fire Prevention Division also conducts public education outreach, community forums and town halls as well as school and program interface.
