G.V.P (Gun Violence Prevention) Program
The Mount Vernon Youth Bureau was awarded funds to provide Gun Violence Prevention services to 55 young adults ages 18-24. The program will provide job training, soft skills, workshops, 8 weeks of work experience, credentialing and placement in good paying jobs.

Ready4Life / Y4L
Ready4Life provides comprehensive services to 1,100 high school students grades 9 to 12.

Safe Haven
Safe Haven Afterschool Program provides academic support in the core areas of English and Math at the Grimes and Cecil H. Parker Elementary Schools in an effort to prepare students for middle and high school.

S.R.A.E.P (Sexual Risk Avoidance Education Program)
The SREAP aims to build both internal and external growth by introducing economic security, physical, and emotional health geared towards youth ages 14-18. The goal of WCYB's SREAP is to provide messages to youth that normalizes the optimal health and behavior of avoiding non-marital sexual activity. There are three expected outcomes related to this goal. They are: * In the program year, students will demonstrate significantly greater growth from pre-(baseline) to post-(completion of the program) in their knowledge, of: 1) risk avoidance skills, 2) healthy life skills and protective factors, and 3) reduced high risk behaviors. * In the program year, students will demonstrate improvement from pre- to post-project participation in their conflict management, relationship skills and improved workplace readiness skills.

Youth Employment & Training
The Mount Vernon Youth Bureau is the central location for summer and after-school youth employment. The Youth Employment and Training Program provides job training and preparation for the youth of the city from ages 14 to 24.
